Kacie also reminds us to clean grease and grime from oven knobs

Before leaving a rental, Kacie suggests cleaning the oven knobs or dials to remove any grease or grime from cooking.

To do this, she first poured a cup of boiling water and a cup of vinegar into a tray and placed it in a hot oven for 20 minutes.

She then scraped off the “soft” grime and grease with a scraping tool and allowed the oven to cool before scrubbed with a scouring pad soaked in dishwashing liquid to increase the shine of the metal.

Kacie also suggests using a scouring pad on the oven racks and using a blade throughout the cleaning process if necessary.
