Guess the Rent for This 3 Bedroom Home in East San Antonio

More people are looking to move to San Antonio in 2022 (especially from Austin!) and rents in San Antonio aren’t going down. From finding your perfect new home to negotiating rental prices, finding an apartment in San Antonio can be quite the experience. Taking inspiration from our sister publication SFGate in San Francisco, MySA reviews local properties showcasing the best, the worst, and everything in between right here in the Alamo City. Let’s guess the rent.

Happy to see you again. Last week’s resort-style apartment complex was a nice faux-tropical break from house rentals, but this week we’re back with a three-bedroom home in Dignowity Hill at 107 St. Charles.

This one is a bit sterile, which means we won’t get any “this is what it looks like with furniture” photos. And for good reason, since the owner is in the process of renovating the 1,602 square foot home.

It also means modern light fixtures and gleaming hardwood floors. How much will it cost you?

Let’s go.

Like most homes, we start with the living room where you can see the kitchen in the distance.

Of course, we start in the living room. Like most modern homes, the living room is what welcomes us, but we also find refreshed retro light fixtures. You can see the kitchen in the back but we’ll get to that soon.

Then we turn it around and reverse it to see the living room and its many windows from the dining room. I can only assume it’s the dining room since it’s so close to our next area.

The Craigslist post says the house has new tile and you can see it in this kitchen. It looks like tenants will also get stainless steel appliances.

Again, this house is being renovated, so the lights are probably not ready in this bathroom. But that’s another look at the new tile.

You know what I mean? Really shiny hardwood floors that have been refinished.

You even get a bathroom with space for a washer and dryer.

And then close it with the toilet, which is pretty cool. It has the fixtures for a washer and dryer and a tankless gas water heater.

So how much will you pay for this three bedroom house? The Craigslist post says it will cost $2,200 per month, which matches the Zillow listing. The house will be ready to move in on June 15.

Zumper says the average rent for a three-bedroom house is… $2,200. Well look at this.
