Due to rising exchange rates, foreigners continue to flow to Bodrum. The apartment, as well as those who buy land, have already started renting houses for the summer period. Therefore, it will be much more difficult for local tourists to find a summer residence in Bodrum this summer.
“Full of strangers”
Providing information on the real estate market in Bodrum, Karanbey İnÅaat Chairman BarıŠÃzgenal said: âThe streets and places of Bodrum are full of foreigners these days. Some have come here for vacations, while others have come here to invest. They are trying to buy both housing and land. For this reason, it is observed that there is a high demand in the second hand housing market in Bodrum. Likewise, there is mobility in rental homes, âhe said.
They rent a chalet
Noting that some foreigners are already planning their summer vacations, zgenal said: âForeigners usually plan their vacations in the winter. With the effect of both this and the effect of foreign currencies, plans were made for Bodrum as well. Some of them even rented houses where they stayed in the summer. Generally, rentals are between 2 and 6 months.
“There will be no more room”
Emphasizing that local tourists will have a hard time finding a chalet to rent due to the interest shown by foreigners, zgenal said: âMost of the houses have already started to fill up. If it continues like this, there will be no more room in March or April. In addition, due to the exchange rate, owners prefer foreign vacationers. Therefore, it will be very difficult for domestic tourists to find a villa to rent for the summer. Those who can find it should ignore the hefty charges, âhe said.
