TV star Karl Stefanovic was hoping to double his money when he put his stunning vacation home on the market, but things didn’t work out as he had planned.
There was no sale during the occasional Sunshine Beach retreat of Today host Karl Stefanovic and his shoe designer wife Jasmine Yarbrough, who went to his sale at the mid-week auctions, attended only by registered local and interstate bidders.
The couple had paid $3.6 million in January 2020, before the pandemic hit, and when news of their settlement broke in March of that year, coastal vacation markets were set to soar.
Maybe not as high as the recent valuation from real estate agents who told Stefanovic he could fetch up to $7.5 million, with his listing agent Tom Offermann Michael McComas certainly still expecting more than $7. millions of dollars.
Pending an acceptable offer, Villa Isabelle continues as a Vogue-featured $3,700 peak season vacation rental.
Apparently the couple have only been there for five weeks in the last two and a half years, telling their press mate Peter Glesson that they intend to buy again on the Sunshine Coast, near the uptown of Hastings St from Noosa “at some point”.

The multi-level villa has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, as well as a north-facing terrace and chef’s kitchen as well as an air-conditioned cellar.
There is terrazzo palladiana tiling, a sunken lounge and Ibiza pendant lights. Color and texture have been selected as marble, micro cement, stone and travertine combine to create an earthy and warm feel.
The hillside house built in 2009, about 200 meters from the water, had been on the market for 420 days before the couple rushed to buy it from chef Jean Luc Chaudet. Overlooking the Coral Sea from its 506 m² Seaview Terrace block, the house has a living area of 544 m². The house was given a makeover by Jasmine’s decorator sister, Jade Yarbrough.
