Police search suspect in Parkview Terrace Apartments shooting

Police are looking for the suspect who shot a man in the 500 block of S. Santa Fe Avenue.

Police said around 6:00 p.m. they received a call about a major disruption at Parkview Terrace Apartments. When officers arrived, they discovered that a man had been shot. Police are still investigating whether there was an exchange of gunfire between the victim and the suspect.

Investigators said that at one point, officers shot pepper balls into a room where they believed the suspect was hiding, but later found he was not there.

As for the victim, the police declared life in the apartment complex. He was taken to hospital and police are not releasing his condition at this time.

Officers said there were several witnesses.

They said several people were talking to detectives.

“We have identified a person of interest and we are not yet ready to release information about him,” said Sgt. JW Sherrill of the Tulsa Police Department said.

Sgt. Sherrill said the investigation is still ongoing. He said that at that time no arrests had been made.
