The Edison Gramercy announces the launch of sales and unveils model apartments designed by Paris Forino in collaboration with ASH NYC

Urban Development Partners and SD Second Avenue Property LLC announce the launch of their newest property, The Edison Gramercy. Located at 250 East 21st Street, the new residence is conveniently located in one of the city’s most iconic and famous neighborhoods, just steps from Gramercy Park and close to the technology and transit hub of Union Square. The Edison Gramercy features a comprehensive interior design by Paris Forino Design, a world-renowned luxury interior design and decorating firm with model apartments designed in collaboration with interior design staging firm AD100 ASH NYC. Issac & Stern Architects, a prolific New York-based architectural firm, provided the building’s exterior architecture and design.

The Edison Gramercy houses a limited collection of 54 boutique studios to four-bedroom condominium residences, ranging in price from approximately $895,000 to over six million USD.

The exterior of the building retains the traditional architectural style of pre-war New York while infusing the Gramercy neighborhood with European charm. “A touch of elegance always remains in the style,” says Ralph Kowalczyk, partner at Issac & Stern Architects. Every fitting and finish chosen for the building has been carefully considered, such as the limestone facade, the French windows and a zinc standing seam mansard roof, reminiscent of neoclassical Parisian architecture. The building also features large bay windows surrounded by limestone paneling and small Juliette balconies.

Inspired by the beauty of the surrounding Gramercy Park townhouses, the interior features a clean palette of classic materials and an exquisite level of bespoke design and elegant custom detailing. Rich materials, including many unique natural stones, pearl white marble, linen wall coverings and white oak, are carefully juxtaposed throughout the building, bringing warmth, texture and character to these residences. Design highlights include white oak herringbone floors, deep crown moldings, beautiful custom stone kitchens and bathrooms, and an exclusive Waterworks Grace hardware collection custom with white, black, and white panda marble.

“We wanted something where people feel warm and comfortable and can live beautiful lifestyles,” said Paris Forino of Paris Forino Design.

As part of the building’s official launch, The Edison Gramercy unveils model apartments designed by ASH NYC that complement Paris Forino’s vision for the building. Aiming to create distinct lifestyles and personalities for each of the homes to appeal to a range of buyer profiles, the overall style of the model apartments is layered, bespoke, classic and concise, with a range of unique and sculptural accents. Echoing the interior design, ASH NYC chose a dramatic and inviting palette of warm earth tones for the model unit series.

The home collection is enriched with a suite of wellness and social amenities, including an exquisite range of secret gardens designed to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living. The Resident’s Lounge and Yoga Garden, Gramercy Park-inspired sun terrace and rooftop terrace, carefully designed by the Edison Gramercy, will serve as an urban oasis for residents who wish to energize and soothe body and mind. The outdoor spaces are elegantly landscaped and equipped with outdoor furniture and planters. Residents can immerse themselves in the gardens while enjoying incredible views of New York City, highlighting New York icons such as the Clock Tower and the Empire State Building.

Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of Douglas Elliman’s Eklund|Gomes team are the exclusive sales and marketing agents for the property. For more information, visit www.theedisongramercy.com/
